The Income Tax T1 Preparer plays a critical role in assisting individuals with accurate and compliant tax return preparation. Working within a collaborative team environment, this role includes preparing personal income tax returns, supporting tax planning efforts, ensuring data accuracy, and providing audit support as needed. Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate T1 personal income tax returns for individual clients
- Assist with tax planning to optimize client returns
- Enter and verify tax-related data with high accuracy
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and clarifications
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment to meet deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in income tax preparation
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Tax Preparer (CTP) designation
- Proficiency with T1 Tax Software and DT Max Tax Software
- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax regulations
- Detail orientation with excellent accuracy
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Time management abilities for efficient workflow
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
