Bygrave Family Dental is seeking an experienced, patient-centred Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our friendly, community-focused practice in Toronto.

Role Overview

This paid role combines clinical chairside support with front desk responsibilities. You will help create a welcoming patient experience, support smooth daily operations, and coordinate details behind the scenes so each visit feels organized, positive, and seamless.

Key Responsibilities

· Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk with professionalism.

· Answer multi-line phone systems, direct calls efficiently, and provide clear, courteous service.

· Verify and update patient information using electronic medical records systems.

· Assist dental providers during procedures, including preparing instruments, taking X-rays, and following sterilization protocols.

· Manage patient check-in and check-out using dental practice management software such as Instream.

· Support billing, insurance verification, payment processing, filing, data entry, and correspondence.

· Maintain clean, organized reception and clinical areas in line with health and safety standards.

Experience and Skills

· Previous dental office experience is highly preferred; knowledge of dental procedures and terminology is an asset.

· Office experience in a medical, dental, or administrative setting is valued.

· Familiarity with electronic medical records and dental practice management systems, particularly Instream, is helpful.

· Excellent communication skills for working with patients, team members, and insurance providers.

· Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
