Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Transportation Shunt Operations Manager to oversee daily yard operations and ensure the safe, efficient movement of trailers and equipment within a customer site. This leadership role serves as the primary liaison between the shunt operations team and customer management while maintaining operational excellence, safety, and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily yard and shunt operations to ensure efficient trailer movement and yard flow.

- Lead, coach, and monitor the performance of shunt drivers and yard personnel.

- Act as the primary point of contact between customer management and shunt operations.

- Coordinate with transportation and safety teams to meet operational requirements.

- Maintain accurate records of yard equipment, trailer locations, and operational activities.

- Conduct yard inspections and arrange maintenance or repairs for equipment as needed.

- Promote and enforce safety procedures while identifying and reporting potential hazards.

- Prepare operational reports and ensure compliance with company policies and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of management experience within transportation, logistics, distribution, or yard operations.

- Previous experience working with shunt trucks, trailers, and yard equipment.

- Current or previous AZ driver's license and related driving experience.

- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency with computers and transportation-related technologies.
