Site Superintendent – Mid-Rise Residential

Location: Belleville, Ontario
Project: New Mid-Rise Residential Construction
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in residential mid-rise construction

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee a new mid-rise residential construction project in Belleville, Ontario. The Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all day-to-day site construction activities.
  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Ensure construction progresses according to the project schedule and milestones.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation and coordinate with the Project Manager and consultants.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
  • Identify and resolve site issues, conflicts, and construction deficiencies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate required inspections.
  • Maintain a safe and organized job site and ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety requirements.
  • Track site progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and senior management.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and ensure materials are available when required.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, schedules, deficiencies, and site communications.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in residential mid-rise construction.
  • Proven experience overseeing new-build residential projects from start to completion.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Experience with construction management software is an asset.
  • Ability to work on-site in Belleville, Ontario.
