Job Details:
Service Manager
$80,000–$120,000 annual compensation, including performance-based bonus. Relocation assistance available.
Sault Nissan is looking for a strong automotive leader to take ownership of our Service Department and join a dealership with significant momentum.
Over the past several years, our team has transformed both the customer and employee experience at Sault Nissan, and the results speak for themselves. We've increased our Google rating from 3.8 to 4.5 stars, moved from 30th to 5th in provincial market share, achieved significant year-over-year growth in Fixed Operations and grown dealership profitability by 4x. Locally, we've gone from last place in import volume to competing for the #2 position in the market.
We're proud of what the team has built, and we're looking for a Service Manager who wants to help us continue that growth.
This is a key leadership position within the dealership, with responsibility for the people, performance, customer experience and profitability of our unionized Service Department. We're looking for someone who can build a strong team, create clear and effective processes, coach people to perform at their best and deliver an exceptional experience for our customers.
If you're an experienced Service Manager looking for your next opportunity, or a strong automotive service leader ready to take the next step in your career, we'd like to hear from you.

- Establish clear expectations and accountability across the department.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including productivity, efficiency, customer satisfaction, retention and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, performance and the customer experience.
- Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Work closely with the Parts Department and other dealership leaders to keep operations running smoothly.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and build long-term customer relationships.
- Manage department expenses, labour costs and profitability targets.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management within the department.
- Support the consistent application of the collective agreement and work with dealership leadership and HR on employee and labour relations matters as needed.
- Stay current with manufacturer requirements, automotive technology and industry best practices.
What We're Looking For
You're a strong fit for this role if you:
- Have automotive service leadership experience and understand how a successful service department operates.
- Are a confident people leader who can coach, develop and hold a team accountable.
- Understand service department financials and can use performance data to make good operational decisions.
- Are organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy dealership environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with employees and customers.
- Bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to problems.
- Have experience with dealership management systems and automotive service technology.
- Hold a valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Have experience leading in a unionized environment, which is considered an asset.
Previous Service Manager experience is strongly preferred, but we are also open to experienced Assistant Service Managers, Shop Foremen or other automotive service leaders who are ready to take the next step into department leadership.
