About the Opportunity Fuze HR Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse & Inventory Operations Supervisor on behalf of a well-established organization operating within the manufacturing and packaging sector.
Our client supports large-scale manufacturing and consumer-product operations and is known for delivering integrated packaging, production and supply-chain solutions. Their environment is fast-paced, quality-driven and highly focused on safety, operational efficiency, inventory accuracy and customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations professional who understands the connection between shipping and receiving, inventory control, material flow and production.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on supervisor who can lead employees while remaining actively involved in daily warehouse and inventory operations. What You'll Be Responsible For
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities associated with shipping, receiving and inventory while ensuring materials and finished products move accurately and efficiently throughout the operation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and coordinate daily shipping, receiving and inventory operations.
- Supervise, coach and support warehouse and inventory employees, including work assignments, training and performance management.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and ensure required documentation and system transactions are completed accurately.
- Oversee dock activity, including the movement, loading and unloading of materials and finished products.
- Maintain accurate inventory records across raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods.
- Coordinate and oversee cycle counts, physical inventory counts, audits and inventory reconciliation.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and take appropriate action to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Review shipping documentation, work orders and material requirements to ensure products and materials are moved correctly.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving and inventory information within applicable computer systems.
- Establish daily operational priorities based on production requirements, inventory needs and customer commitments.
- Work closely with production, quality and operational leadership to maintain effective material flow throughout the facility.
- Monitor damaged, aged or excess inventory and support appropriate tracking and disposition.
- Ensure established GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality and workplace safety standards are consistently followed.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, material flow, productivity and operational efficiency.
- Support departmental objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, customer service and cost control.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of warehouse leadership, inventory expertise and manufacturing experience.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within shipping/receiving, inventory, warehouse, materials or manufacturing operations.
- Previous experience in a Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, Inventory Supervisor, Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, Materials Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, physical inventories and inventory reconciliation.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, packaging or similar operational environment.
- Strong understanding of inbound/outbound shipping and receiving processes.
- Experience managing the movement and accuracy of raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods.
- Previous experience supervising employees, assigning work, providing training and supporting employee performance.
- Strong computer skills and experience working with inventory, warehouse, ERP and/or related operational systems.
- Exposure to GMP, HACCP, food safety or quality-controlled manufacturing environments is considered a strong asset.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple operational priorities.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across warehouse, production, quality and management teams.
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to support operational activities when required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Environment This position is based primarily within a warehouse and production environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable spending significant time on the floor supporting employees and monitoring operations.
The position involves frequent walking and standing, with occasional lifting of up to approximately 25 lbs.
