We're recruiting a Business Partner for a leading Western Canadian electrical distributor with over 20 locations across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Monday to Friday, flexible start time between 6am-9am. Onsite location: Surrey, BC As a key member of the Projects & Planning team, the Business Partner helps bring strategy to life by ensuring plans, projects, and priorities are clearly defined, aligned, and effectively executed. This role supports strategic planning, project coordination, and organizational change initiatives while connecting leaders and teams across the business. By promoting collaboration, clear communication, and execution excellence, the Business Partner plays an important role in driving organizational goals and business success. Compensation:
  • Base salary of $80K - $90K

Responsibilities
  • Strategic & Business Planning Support
    • Collaborate with executive and department leaders to develop, implement, and track strategic and operational plans.
    • Lead planning discussions to align organizational objectives, team priorities, and key initiatives.
    • Coordinate monthly progress meetings with business champions to monitor objectives, address challenges, and support successful outcomes
  • Business Analysis & Project Coordination
    • Support project planning and execution, ensuring initiatives align with business and strategic priorities.
    • Partner with sponsors, champions, and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, risks, budgets, timelines, vendor engagement, and change management needs.
    • Facilitate coordination across teams to keep activities on track, communicate key milestones, and deliver project outcomes.
    • Track project progress, help resolve issues, manage escalations, and support risk mitigation efforts.
  • Communication & Change Management
    • Create and deliver clear communications to support planning, project, and change initiatives.
    • Assist with training, process documentation, and change management activities to drive successful adoption of new processes and systems.
    • Build strong cross-functional relationships to encourage collaboration, identify issues early, and support effective problem-solving.
    • Promote governance standards, established processes, and project management best practices.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, business analysis, project management, process improvement, change management, and corporate communications.
  • Degree, certification, or equivalent experience in Business, Commerce, Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, supported by excellent communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional schedules, meetings, agendas, and follow-up actions.
  • Skilled at bringing structure and clarity to complex or evolving initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation abilities, with the capacity to distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and effective in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Passionate about connecting people, processes, and projects to support business success.
  • Experience with software evaluation and selection is an asset.
