Framing Carpenter

The Framing Carpenter will specialize in commercial building projects, working primarily with small specialized crews and rotating teams within a single site. This role involves the precise installation of framing components, adhering to blueprints and safety standards, and collaborating closely with team members during standard daytime hours to ensure structural quality and project efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Install framing components according to blueprints and project specifications
• Read and interpret construction blueprints accurately
• Handle materials efficiently to maintain workflow
• Assemble structural frameworks ensuring alignment and stability
• Operate power and hand tools safely and effectively
• Conduct quality inspections to meet project standards
• Follow safety protocols at all times on site
• Collaborate with team members within small specialized crews
• Perform site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment
• Cut metal studs as required for framing assemblies

Required Qualifications

• Proven carpentry skills with a focus on framing
• Competence in blueprint reading and interpretation
• Experience operating power tools safely
• Ability to perform precise measurements and layout work

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in carpentry
• College diploma related to construction or carpentry
• Certification in Working at Heights
• WHMIS certification
