Welder

Our client, a mechanical contracting company, is looking to add experienced Welders/Pipefitters to their Fabrication Shop in Mississauga!

???? Location: Mississauga, ON
⏰ Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
???? Pay Rate: $30.00+/hour, based on skills and experience
???? Duration: Contract to Permanent

The successful candidate will be responsible for pipe spool fabrication, welding, assembly, and preparation of piping components while ensuring work meets required specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.

• Perform Stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and TIG (GTAW) welding on piping and mechanical components.
• Read and interpret mechanical and piping drawings.
• Cut, prepare, and fit spool pipe pieces according to specifications.
• Maintain accurate face-to-face dimensions and tolerances.
• Fabricate and assemble pipe spools.
• Follow established welding procedures and quality requirements.
• Ensure completed work meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Work safely and maintain an organized fabrication shop environment.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in welding and pipefitting.
• Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and piping drawings.
• Experience with pipe spool fabrication and assembly.
• Experience cutting and preparing spool pipe pieces.
• Strong understanding of welding procedures, quality requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Experience with hydronic piping systems is an asset.
• Experience with oil & gas piping projects is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
