Project Coordinator

Belanger Engineering has helped condominium corporations and building owners evaluate, repair, and maintain their properties since 1995. As Project Coordinator you keep multi-disciplinary building-science work moving so owners receive practical options that match their objectives, timelines, and budgets. Your coordination turns engineer recommendations into completed repairs that protect buildings and the people who live and work in them.

Performance Objectives
  • Coordinate 8–12 concurrent restoration and investigation projects so site visits, drawings, and reports land on schedule and within client budgets.
  • Schedule and track field inspections, contractor meetings, and board presentations so engineers spend time solving problems, not chasing logistics.
  • Prepare and circulate clear meeting notes, action logs, and status updates that keep owners, property managers, and internal teams aligned.
  • Assemble tender packages, track bids, and flag discrepancies so Project Managers can award work quickly and fairly.
  • Maintain project files, photos, and correspondence so every recommendation is documented and easy to retrieve.
  • Support occasional site deliveries and board-meeting attendance so clients experience a responsive, professional team.
Environment & Resources

You report to a Director of Business Development inside a 11–50 person, multi-discipline firm of Building Science Engineers in Mississauga serving the GTA. You work alongside structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers using MS Office, shared project files, and a company vehicle for site travel. The atmosphere is collaborative, client-facing, and hands-on—achievement is noticed and career growth is real.

Essential Qualifications
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple construction or consulting projects and hit deadlines without dropping details.
  • Strong written and verbal English for client emails, meeting minutes, and board-level summaries.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and comfort organizing digital files, photos, and correspondence.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle for GTA site visits.
  • Comfort interfacing with owners, contractors, and engineers in a professional, service-oriented manner.
Role Selling Points
  • Direct client contact and daily variety instead of desk-bound coordination.
  • Mentorship from experienced Building Science Engineers and a president who still shares field knowledge.
  • Room to grow into Project Associate or Project Manager roles as you demonstrate results.
  • Friendly, hard-working culture that values practical solutions for real buildings.
