What You Will Be Responsible ForPlanning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor, and overhead.
Analyzing data collected and recording results.
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs including but not limited to purchase price to cost variance, cost revaluation, invoice to PO price variances and work order variances.
Ensure process integrity within Manufacturing, Intercompany, and Inventory while working with cross-functional peers to resolve process issues.
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports.
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Review and analysis of new product costing in conjunction with engineering and manufacturing.
Maintaining cost accounting system.
Assist with physical inventory counts and monitors cycle count program.
Reconciles finished goods inventories.
Other duties as assigned.
- CPA designation with three (3) years of experience of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.
- Must have a strong cost systems background with excellent analytical and advanced Excel skills
- Sound understanding of accounting principles.
- A high level of written and oral communication skills and a strong sense of business ethics are required.
