Red Seal Millwright

We are actively looking for an experienced Red Seal Millwright for a client of ours located in Richmond, BC. This is a full-time permanent opportunity with a reputable company that offers some great benefits and perks. What We Offer/Perks:

Shift Schedule:

• Monday to Friday - Rotating between days and afternoons monthly
• Day shift: 6AM – 2PM
• Afternoon shift: 2PM – 10PM
• This is a 24/5 operation
• Weekend on-call: 4-hour shift every 5 weeks, paid at overtime

Key Responsibilities as a Millwright:

• Perform preventative maintenance and on-call troubleshooting on plant equipment, including printing presses, laminators, extruders, slitting machines, conveyors and other production machinery
• Conduct regular machinery inspections, including oil levels, lubrication and cleaning
• Install, remove and replace mechanical components
• Fabricate parts and perform welding as required
• Order materials and manage waste disposal
• Research components and maintain inventory as needed
• Identify equipment concerns and opportunities for improvement
• Perform general building and facility maintenance, including HVAC and facility repairs
• Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, internal teams and suppliers
• Follow all company policies and contribute to a safe and respectful workplace

Requirements as a Millwright:

• Red Seal Millwright certification is mandatory at the moment
• 4+ years of Millwright experience, ideally within CPG, manufacturing, food or plastics
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts between days and afternoons, Monday to Friday
• Ability to participate in the weekend on-call rotation every 5 weeks
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal record check
