Sales Manager Location: Concord, Ontario Base Salary $100K+ negotiable on experience. Bonuses & Commissions Full-Time Permanent Position Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead sales development initiatives, identify new markets and customers, and build strong, long-term customer relationships within the Ontario Construction industry. The successful candidate will oversee and develop a team of sales representatives, provide coaching and training, monitor performance, contribute to pricing and sales objectives, and support the overall operations of Ontario. Key Responsibilities Sales Development Strategy
  • Develop, implement, and monitor sales strategies, forecasts, and objectives.
  • Identify and develop new markets, business opportunities, and customers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide ongoing after-sales support.
  • Address customer concerns and complaints while contributing to annual business objectives.
  • Support and execute the company's marketing plan.
  • Actively participate in business development and relationship-building activities, including trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
Sales Team Leadership
  • Serve as a key liaison between internal departments and the sales team.
  • Recruit, train, coach, evaluate, and manage sales representatives.
  • Establish performance objectives and monitor individual and team results.
  • Optimize sales processes, methodologies, and workflows.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to help the team achieve and exceed sales targets.
Pricing & Sales Management
  • Contribute to pricing strategies and policies.
  • Manage pricing updates, quotations, and tenders.
  • Monitor market conditions and competitive activity to support effective pricing decisions.
  • Help protect company margins while remaining competitive in the marketplace.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Follow up on administrative matters, including accounts receivable and internal processes.
  • Participate in financial forecasting and help protect company profitability and business interests.
  • Monitor and manage team expenses.
  • Participate in approved business development, technical, and operational projects.
Branch Operations
  • Support the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the branch.
  • Monitor inventory levels and contribute to inventory and storage strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth branch operations and customer service.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of sales management experience.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales.
  • Demonstrated experience in technology sales, technical sales, and business development.
  • Experience using CRM and marketing software is considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience within the construction, surveying, engineering, or related technical markets is considered an asset.

  • Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.

  • Strong active-listening skills and the ability to understand customer and employee needs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while demonstrating initiative and determination.
  • Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
  • Highly autonomous, energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • French language skills are considered an asset but are not required.
  • Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel as required, including occasional overnight travel.
