THE ROLE

STRIVE Recruitment is seeking an experienced Controller to join a well-established and growing organization. The Controller will oversee the accounting function, lead financial reporting, provide financial insight to senior leadership, and support the continued improvement of processes and systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys balancing strong technical accounting expertise with commercial business partnership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance function.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting.
• Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and account reconciliations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls and accounting processes.
• Coordinate year-end audit and tax requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Support strategic projects, acquisitions, and system implementations as required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• CPA designation required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Controller or senior accounting level.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to lead and develop an accounting team.
• Strong ERP and Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment while providing strategic financial leadership.
