POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a personable, detail-oriented and organized individual to join our dynamic team as an Accounts Payable Administrator. This position will be responsible for processing and maintaining high volume accounts payable transactions for multiple companies. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, with a high level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail while ensuring accuracy and complying with accounting standards, procedures and internal control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Matching to packing slips and purchase orders
  • Coding and posting invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Processing payments
  • Corresponding with vendors
  • Maintaining vendor records
  • Providing backup to reception
  • Assisting the finance department in other projects and tasks when required

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in processing Accounts Payable, in a related field
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Jonas Construction accounting software, considered an asset.
  • Equivalencies will be considered.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, overtime as required

Compensation: $50,000 to $55,000 annually

Benefits: Extended Health Care benefits and Group Retirement Plan available after expiration of waiting period

Job Location: LaSalle, Ontario
One Site. There is no option for working remotely.

Required education: Grade 12 education or equivalent – required

University/College degree/diploma in related field - considered an asset

Required Experience: 3+ years in related field
