About Elevate Service Group

Elevate Service Group is building a national platform in facilities and commercial services, bringing specialist businesses together under shared infrastructure, technology and standards.

In 2026, we acquired TFI Food Equipment Solutions, one of Canada's leading foodservice equipment distributors and service providers. TFI is the exclusive distributor for Taylor, Henny Penny and Franke Coffee Systems across Ontario and Atlantic Canada, with a service organization of factory-trained technicians supporting thousands of quick-service restaurant, grocery and convenience locations. Together, we are a roughly $90 million business, and growing.

The Opportunity

We are launching a certified pre-owned equipment business, and we are hiring the person who will build it.

Every year our customers refresh, remodel, and close locations, and a steady stream of high-quality commercial kitchen equipment comes out of the field — fryers, soft-serve machines, coffee systems, refrigeration. Most of it still has years of working life left. We already service these assets; we know their history, we stock the parts, and we employ the technicians who can bring them back to standard. What we have not done yet is turn that into a business.

That is this job. You will own it end to end: where the equipment comes from, what we pay for it, how it is graded and refurbished, what it sells for, who buys it, and whether the unit makes money. It is roughly half selling and half operating, and both halves are yours.

This is a build role, and we want to be straight about what that means. On day one there is no team, no inventory system and no playbook. What there is: an established customer base, a national service network, real OEM relationships, and a leadership team that wants this to work and will fund it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

What you´ll own

Supply. Building the sourcing engine — trade-ins attached to new equipment sales, chain refresh and remodel programs, franchisee closures and ownership changes, auctions and liquidators, dealer trades, and retirements from our own service fleet. In this business supply is the constraint, not demand. Expect it to be most of your first ninety days.

Commercial. Selling refurbished equipment to independents, first-time operators, small franchise groups, institutions and secondary markets — and to our existing chain customers, who need swap-out and spare units to protect uptime. Setting price by condition grade and defending margin.

The program. Defining the certified pre-owned standard: condition grading, refurbishment scope, warranty terms and reserves, and the serialized tracking that tells us what we own and what it is worth.

Inventory and margin. Carrying the gross margin and inventory targets for the unit — turns, days-to-sell, aging and write-downs — including the discipline to decline equipment that will not sell.

Operations. Working with our service leadership to get refurbishment done without pulling technicians off billable field work, and standing up pickup, decommissioning, storage, delivery and installation.

Partnerships. Building this alongside our OEM partners rather than around them, and keeping the pre-owned channel clean on territory, genuine parts and certification standards.

Compliance. Making sure everything we sell meets electrical, sanitation, gas and refrigerant requirements, with clear as-is versus warranted terms in writing.

What success looks like

By month three: Two or three repeatable sourcing channels secured, a published condition-grading standard, and serialized inventory tracking running — even if it starts as a disciplined spreadsheet.

By month six: Consistent inventory flow, first revenue on the board, a defined warranty offer, and a written policy on what we take in and what we turn down.

By month twelve: A business unit hitting its gross margin target with healthy inventory turns, a measurable parts and service attach rate on used sales, and a clear, evidenced case for what to invest in next — including your first hire.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

It suits someone who wants to build a business inside a company that already has the customers, the technicians and the parts. If you have ever watched equipment, come out of a kitchen and immediately thought about what it was worth, you will like this role.

It is a poor fit if you want a defined territory and an established product line, if you would rather not be accountable for inventory and margin alongside revenue, or if you need a team and a playbook in place to be effective in year one.

Must have

– Five or more years in B2B equipment sales, distribution, dealer channel, asset remarketing or a closely related field.

– A commercial track record you can quantify — you have carried a number, and you know exactly what you did against it.

– Real comfort with gross margin, cost of goods and inventory economics, not just top-line revenue.

– Experience valuing, buying or moving physical assets: trade-ins, fleet, remarketing, auction or liquidation.

– Evidence you have built something durable — a process, a standard, a territory or a program that outlasted you.

– The self-direction to operate without a team, and the judgment to know when to ask for help.

– Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly across Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

– Eligible to work in Canada.

Strong assets

– Commercial foodservice equipment, QSR, grocery or convenience channel background.

– Refurbishment, remanufacturing or certified pre-owned program experience in any equipment category.

– Working knowledge of CSA and electrical certification, NSF sanitation, TSSA and gas fitting, or refrigerant regulation.

– Exposure to ERP or inventory system implementation, particularly serialized assets.

– French language ability.

Compensation & What We Offer

• Competitive base salary with a high-leverage, performance-based variable component tied to margin and inventory performance

• Participation in the Company's incentive plans, including equity, as a publicly listed company

• Vehicle or travel allowance and business expense coverage

• Comprehensive health and dental benefits

• The change to own the business unit from zero inside a growing national platform, with real room to grow as it grows.
