Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

OVERVIEW:

Commissionaires Great Lakes offers an immediate opportunity for a versatile, highly motivated Security Professional. We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills, strong working knowledge of computer systems, CCTV experience, a positive attitude and the ability to provide excellent customer service, security and protection for our client's site. As a front-line representative of our company and client's site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multi task and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.

POSITION SUMMARY

• Job type: Full time
• Reports to: Site Supervisor
• Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.57
• Hours of work: Monday-Thursday 1500-0000 & Friday 1600-0000
• Location: 351 Hillmount Rd, Markham,
• Accessible by Transit: Yes

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring access control is followed and client property is secured, escorting visitors as required
• Working knowledge of CCTV equipment.
• Working knowledge of Key scan
• Completing shipping and receiving duties when required.
• Maintaining positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors, and clients.
• Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment and also ensure their team is meeting

the same expected standards.

• Responding to alarms and utilization of alarm panels.
• Providing assistance to employees, clients and visitors.
• Completing daily logs and written reports as necessary and ensure they are done correctly and timely.
• Ensure License and First Aid is Current for their teams
• The ability to stand for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols
• Abel to bend and lift up to 11 Lbs. (Weight of a Trailer Pin Lock Locking Devices)
• Strong understanding of computers
• Customer service/reception
• Report all Incidents and Occurrences to the Account Supervisor
• Other duties as may be required by the client or Account Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma
• *MUST* Ontario Security Guard License
• *MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
  
• The ability to stand for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols
• Customer service/reception/administrative skills
• The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential
