THE ROLE
STRIVE is working with a well-established manufacturing company in Woodstock, ON, looking for an experienced certified Tool & Die Maker to join their team. In this permanent, full-time role, you'll be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining stamping dies, tools, fixtures, and gauges to support production and reduce downtime.
We're looking for a certified Tool & Die Maker with strong hands-on experience in a stamping environment. Experience reading blueprints and GD&T, troubleshooting tooling issues, and maintaining dies is important.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, repair, maintain, and modify metal stamping dies, tools, gauges, fixtures, and jigs
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on stamping dies to help minimize production interruptions and downtime
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and identify areas of wear, fatigue, or potential failure
- Complete die maintenance, rebuilding, and machining work according to the Toolroom schedule
- Perform machining and toolroom work accurately and efficiently using a variety of equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, tooling instructions, and GD&T specifications
- Support Engineering with tooling builds, equipment launches, and related projects as required
- Make recommendations to improve tooling life, performance, serviceability, and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of tooling repairs, maintenance, and servicing
- Follow established tooling procedures and service instructions
- Keep the Toolroom, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and properly maintained
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and other members of the Toolroom team
- Provide guidance and support to Tool & Die apprentices when required
- Perform other Toolroom and tooling-related duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience building and/or maintaining metal stamping dies is strongly preferred
- Certificate of Qualification for a Tool and Die Maker (431A / 430A)
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Hands-on experience working with stamping dies and tooling
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience operating a variety of toolroom equipment, including mills, grinders, lathes, and hand tools
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing/toolroom environment
- Comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures and elevated noise levels
- Must have the necessary hand tools to perform the role
- Welding experience with TIG/MIG is an asset
- Crane operation certification is an asset
- Experience working with stainless steel automotive stamping is an asset
