LaPrairie Works Inc. is currently recruiting Excavator Operators to join its team in Clairmont, Alberta.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures
  • Receive and execute directions from manager regarding day-to-day operations and tasks
  • Pre-& post inspection checks of the equipment
  • Maintain accurate records in equipment log
  • Report any defects found on equipment
  • Responsible for and/or assists in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level. Quantity of fuel and fluids must be reported in the inspection log
  • Assist in the maintenance works of the equipment
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices at worksites and on equipment
  • Prepare and submit required daily reports
  • Perform other functions such as manual labour, as required by operational needs and priorities

The ideal candidate has the following:

  • Previous experience with heavy equipment operations such as excavators, crawler dozers, loaders, graders and/or other related equipment
  • Experience with bridge construction projects would be considered an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License, non-GDL, with clean abstract
  • Class 1 driver's license is a definite asset
  • Open to flexible work schedules
  • Demonstrated initiative with solid HSE fundamentals and a sound work ethic
  • Ability to communicate clearly
