We are currently looking for an experienced and safety-conscious HIAB / Crane Truck Driver to join our team.

Our work yard is located in Port Coquitlam, BC.
The Role
As a HIAB / Crane Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering construction materials to commercial job sites throughout the Lower Mainland.
You will operate a truck-mounted hydraulic crane to load, unload, and place materials safely and efficiently while working closely with our site crews and dispatch/management team.
You will coordinate daily deliveries directly with our Operations Manager and will need to be able to load your own truck with a forklift. You will be picking up and delivering masonry and siding materials, scaffolding/hydro scaffolding, general construction equipment and machinery (forklifts, telehandlers, boom lifts).
The majority of deliveries will be unloaded by our crews on each site.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a HIAB / truck-mounted hydraulic crane
- Transport construction materials and equipment to various job sites
- Load, secure, transport, unload, and place materials using the truck crane
- Assess job-site conditions before and during crane operations
- Safely position the truck and crane for deliveries
- Follow all applicable WorkSafeBC, highway, and workplace safety requirements
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ensure loads are properly secured during transportation
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, dispatch, and customers
- Coordinate deliveries with job-site personnel
- Report vehicle, crane, or equipment maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized truck and equipment
- Represent Cronus Masonry & Exteriors professionally when interacting with customers and job-site personnel
- Perform other driving, delivery, and construction-related duties as required
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 BC driver's license
- Experience operating a HIAB or truck-mounted hydraulic crane
- Appropriate crane/HIAB certification or training as required
- Clean or acceptable driving record
- Previous experience in construction, building materials, masonry, or exterior construction is an asset
- Strong understanding of load securement and safe material handling
- Ability to assess job-site conditions and identify potential hazards
- Good knowledge of road and workplace safety procedures
- Comfortable operating remote-control crane systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Professional attitude and good customer-service skills
Physical & Working Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working around active construction sites
- Ability to climb in and out of trucks and work around equipment
- Ability to lift and handle materials as required with the crane and forklift
- Ability to work extended shifts when necessary
- Willingness to work occasional overtime
- Must be comfortable working around construction equipment, materials, and uneven job-site conditions
