ABOUT EDUGLOBAL

EduGlobal is a Canadian education consultancy based in the Greater Toronto Area. We help Canadian citizens, permanent residents and protected persons access provincial student aid — including the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) — and enrol in approved programs at partner private career colleges across Ontario.

Most of the people we work with are mature students returning to education after years away from it: career changers, parents going back to work, people retraining into healthcare, business and skilled trades. For many of them, funding is the only thing standing between where they are and the program they want. Our job is to make that process clear and get them enrolled.

We work with nine partner colleges across Ontario and we are growing steadily. Marketing has been handled by an outside agency. We are bringing all of it in-house, and we are hiring one person to own it.

READ THIS PART FIRST

This is a solo role. There is no marketing team, no junior to hand work to, and no agency behind you. Strategy, paid campaigns, filming, editing, posting, SEO, vendor relationships, reporting — all of it is done by you.

That is the job, stated plainly so nobody is surprised in week two. If you are looking for a position where you direct a team or manage vendors from a distance, this is not it. If you would rather own an entire function yourself, with nobody diluting your work and no approval chain between your idea and it going live, keep reading.

You will own this from day one. Campaigns do not pause while someone settles in. You take the accounts live, you keep the leads coming, and you build from there.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

PAID ADVERTISING — THE PRIORITY

Our lead flow depends on paid. We need leads every day, and this is where they come from.

  • Build and run campaigns across Google Ads, Meta and TikTok — all three live and running, not one at a time
  • PPC and performance marketing: you own cost per lead, cost per acquisition and return on ad spend
  • Test creative continuously, move budget toward what converts, and cut what does not
  • Manage landing pages and conversion paths so the traffic you buy actually converts
  • Keep our ad accounts healthy — you understand the policy landscape in education and student finance, you know what gets accounts restricted, and you know how to scale without crossing that line

ORGANIC — RUNNING IN PARALLEL, NOT AFTERWARDS

  • Run our social media presence across platforms with a consistent, planned content pipeline
  • Own SEO for our website: technical, on-page and content
  • Build organic reach that feeds the paid engine rather than sitting separately from it
  • Maintain a content calendar you actually keep to, alongside the paid workload

CONTENT PRODUCTION — YOU MAKE IT, START TO FINISH

  • Shoot the video yourself: plan it, film it, direct it
  • Edit it yourself at a professional standard — this is not a nice-to-have
  • Produce in volume, because creative testing needs volume
  • Publish, schedule and manage everything across channels

RELATIONSHIPS, REPUTATION AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Build and manage relationships with vendors, platforms, media partners and creators
  • Negotiate rates and hold vendors to what they deliver
  • Own our online reputation — reviews across Google and social, responses, and the practices that keep ratings strong
  • Identify new marketing channels and business opportunities and bring them forward with a case behind them
  • Support partnership and co-marketing conversations with our college partners

ANALYSIS, AUDIT AND RESEARCH

  • Audit marketing performance continuously — spend, attribution, lead quality through to enrolment
  • Market and competitor research: know what competitors are running, what is working for them, and where the openings are
  • Understand our audience well enough to write and film for them without being briefed
  • Weekly reporting in real numbers: what is working, what is dead, where budget moves next and why

HOW THIS ROLE RUNS

You take ownership on day one. Accounts are handed to you live and you keep them running from the first week, while the organic side moves in parallel rather than waiting its turn.

You set the direction. Nobody is going to hand you a campaign plan — you build it, you defend it with numbers, and you adjust it when the numbers say so. You report weekly to the directors on spend, lead flow, cost per lead and what is changing next.

You work at the pace of a business that needs leads daily. This suits someone who is comfortable holding several things at once: ads live, a shoot scheduled, content going out, a vendor conversation open, and a report due.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 5 to 10 years in digital marketing, hands-on, with real lead generation results you can point to
  • Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads — operational depth in all three, at real spend. Actual campaigns, not certifications
  • Strong PPC and performance marketing background with numbers you can speak to in detail
  • Professional video shooting and editing — portfolio required
  • SEO fundamentals and multi-platform organic social
  • Experience marketing a consultancy or service business — education, immigration, financial services, legal or similar. You understand selling a service and a decision, not a product in a cart
  • Someone who takes ownership immediately and does not need a ramp-up period to start producing
  • On-site in the GTA — this role is not remote and not hybrid

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in a compliance-sensitive vertical where ad copy is scrutinised
  • Landing page and conversion rate optimisation experience
  • Vendor negotiation and reputation management experience
  • Comfort appearing on camera as well as behind it
  • A second language spoken by our client base

TOOLS AND SETUP

You will work in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager, alongside our CRM and Google Workspace. Editing and production software is your call — use what you are fastest in. Tell us what you need and we will get it.

LOCATION

Your day-to-day work location will be our new North York office. Our head office is at 1 Dundas Street West, Suite 2550 (25th Floor), Toronto, ON M5G 1Z3, and you will be there as needed.

THE INTERVIEW

Be ready to work in the room. We run a practical, hands-on assessment. You will walk us through live accounts and campaigns you have built, show us video you shot and edited, and talk through how you would approach a real brief of ours. Selection is based on what you demonstrate, not what is on the resume.

WHY TAKE IT

Complete ownership of a growing company's entire marketing function, with a direct line to the directors. No agency middleman, no layers of approval, no committee on your creative. Decisions get made the same week you raise them, and the results of what you build show up immediately in the business rather than buried in someone else's report.

You will also be marketing something with a straightforward case behind it. The people who come to us are trying to retrain and need funding to do it. That is an easier story to tell than most.

COMPENSATION

$60,000 – $70,000 annually depending on experience. Salary reviewed annually.

TO APPLY

Send your resume and a portfolio or reel of video work you personally shot and edited, plus a short note on a paid campaign you are proud of and the numbers behind it with your application.

Applications without work samples will not be reviewed.
