Job Details:
- Safely operate and monitor blown-film extrusion equipment to meet production, quality, and efficiency requirements.
- Follow work orders, production specifications, and established operating procedures, ensuring the correct materials and supplies are available for each job.
- Perform equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and routine operator maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
- Complete in-process quality checks and make adjustments as required to maintain product specifications.
- Follow all safety, food safety, quality, and housekeeping standards, including hazard assessments, critical control points, and other required procedures.
- Work closely with experienced operators, maintenance, quality, and other team members to resolve issues and keep production moving.
- Build your knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, materials, and troubleshooting through hands-on training and coaching.
- Take an active role in learning new skills and progressing through the extrusion operator career path.
This position operates on a 12-hour rotating continental shift schedule, alternating between:
- Day Shift: 5:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Night Shift: 5:30 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.
Rotation includes scheduled days off, providing a predictable schedule and dedicated time to rest and recharge between shifts.
Physical Requirements: This is a hands-on manufacturing role that requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
