Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified Senior LNG Technology Consultant / SME (Process Engineering) to join our Energy team, based out of any of our Bantrel offices in either; Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon or Toronto. The Senior LNG Technology Consultant / SME (Process Engineering) will be responsible for technical leadership and advisory support across LNG project development, engineering, and execution activities, with a primary focus on process engineering and process control philosophy. This opportunity is ideal for a Senior Consultant, Principal Engineer, Technical Advisor, or LNG Specialist with deep expertise in LNG liquefaction, storage, regasification, and export facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a recognized LNG technical authority supporting engineering and project teams
  • Provide expertise in LNG process technologies and facility design
  • Support feasibility studies, pre-FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, and project execution activities
  • Review and provide guidance on process design criteria, process simulations, operating philosophies, and technical specifications
  • Advise on LNG storage, cryogenic systems, and regasification facilities
  • Support process control philosophy development and operational readiness planning
  • Participate in technical reviews, constructability reviews, risk assessments, and client engagements
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to strengthening organizational LNG capabilities
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of LNG industry experience
  • Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Significant experience supporting one or more of the following:
    • LNG Liquefaction
    • LNG Storage Facilities
    • LNG Regasification Facilities
    • LNG Export Terminals
  • Demonstrated expertise in process design, process simulation, and process engineering leadership

  • Experience supporting major capital projects from concept through commissioning

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LNG facilities in North America or international markets
  • Previous consulting or owner's engineer experience
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Professional Engineering designation preferred

Base Annual Salary: $95,000 to $140,000 CAD per year (Bantrel provides a competitive compensation package that reflects the skills, qualifications, and experience relevant to the role. The figures shared represent base salary only and do not include other elements of the Total Rewards offering. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and alignment with the role requirements.)
