Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Journeyman mechanics with inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • Safely operate and care for hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in daily maintenance activities.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance records, and other documentation accurately.
  • Participate in hands-on training and mentorship opportunities to build technical knowledge and advance mechanical skills.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and maintenance personnel to ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment while following all company and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Support day-to-day operations and contribute to overall team productivity.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Active Apprenticeship in the Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Program
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills required.
  • Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.
  • Successful candidates are required to have valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
  • Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.
  • Must be able to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Work Location, Travel & Accommodation:

  • Location: Kitimat, British Columbia
  • Schedule: 14 days on / 7 days off rotation
  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Charter flights provided (Specific Flight Hubs Apply)
  • Transportation available for local residents
  • Camp accommodations provided at a newly developed executive camp featuring exceptional amenities
