Our CORPORATE HEAD OFFICE has an exciting opportunity for a LOGISTICS COORDINATOR to join our team!

What You Will Do:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting all FGI branches in the areas of customs, shipping, carrier management, supplier management and reverse logistics. You will work with your team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:

  • Track shipments through all major partner carrier websites

  • Collaborate with our Supply chain team, and suppliers

  • Provide feedback to internal customers and determine one-off freight rates.

  • Provide one-off rate quotes and freight costs to FGI personnel

  • Review, code and approve incoming freight invoices for payables

  • Collaborate with carriers to find lost products, report damages and create claims

  • Create reporting to optimize cost effective shipping methods

  • Assist with metrics to support branches in optimizing operational efficiencies

  • Send out annual shipping instructions & routing guides and ensure compliance

  • Audit freight bills and customs invoices for accuracy

  • Assist branches with outbound warranty and returns for optimal international service

  • Train, support, and troubleshoot issues for our branches to use our in-house Transportation Management programs

  • Assist and coordinate offshore shipping and container freight with our global freight forwarding partner

  • Assist staff with creating customs invoices and dangerous goods manifests

  • Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role is preferred

  • Previous experience with logistical requirements, processes and general knowledge of import and export principles is preferred

  • Previous experience with Transportation Management Software Programs for Shipping and Dispatch is preferred

  • CITT designation or enrollment in the CITT program is preferred but not required

  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis is an asset

  • Heavy duty parts knowledge or background is an asset

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Frequent sitting, standing and walking inside the branch, manual dexterity to operate a computer, occasionally required to reach with hands and arms as well as climb stairs in FGI facilities, occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds from the floor to the waist

  • Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
