Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of off-road construction equipment, on-highway tractor-trailers, light vehicles, small/medium diesel equipment, and off-highway vehicles not limited to:
- Frame, steering and suspension systems – light duty, truck and transport & off-road.
- Hydraulic & air brake systems
- Power train systems – truck and transport & off-road
- Air conditioning systems
- Vehicle electric diagnosis and failure analysis
- Electronic and electrical systems
- Hydraulics Engines – including diesel fuel injection.
- Charging & cranking systems
- Use of Diesel Diagnostic Software.
- Working on all makes/models of construction support equipment.
- Complete daily paperwork and participate in toolbox talks.
- Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program.
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal if out of Province).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Excellent problem-solving skills required.
- Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.
- Successful candidates are required to have valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
- Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.
- Must be able to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
Work Location, Travel & Accommodation:
- Location: Kitimat, British Columbia
- Schedule: 14 days on / 7 days off rotation
- Shift: Day Shift
- Charter flights provided (Specific Flight Hubs Apply)
- Transportation available for local residents
- Camp accommodations provided at a newly developed executive camp featuring exceptional amenities
