About Allnorth

BIG ENOUGH TO KNOW HOW, SMALL ENOUGH TO KNOW YOU

Allnorth is a multi-disciplinary engineering, project delivery, and construction services company. We provide smart and practical project solutions to clients in the metals and minerals, energy and renewables, fiber and chemicals, and infrastructure sectors. With offices across Canada and into the United States, we continue to grow!

Our team is our most valuable asset, and a triple bottom line (TBL) philosophy is at the heart of our business. It takes a talented, motivated, and empowered team to delight our clients, driving profitability for all parties. When it comes to guiding principles, safety is part of our DNA, we are committed to building and nurturing Indigenous relationships, we support our communities, and we recognize the importance of environmental stewardship.

Our Opportunity

Allnorth is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to join our Calgary or Edmonton team. This role focuses on project execution and client coordination, working across multiple technical disciplines rather than serving as a discipline-specific technical lead. Our Calgary and Edmonton teams work primarily on projects in the infrastructure, energy, and mining sectors, but also support projects across all sectors covered by Allnorth.

As the primary point of contact for assigned projects, you will coordinate internal teams, manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and ensure client expectations are consistently met. Success in this role is driven by strong organization, communication, and the ability to lead diverse technical teams toward a common goal.

This is a full-time role based out of our Calgary or Edmonton office. Allnorth allows for hybrid work arrangements, but the expectation is a minimum of three days per week in the office.

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will:

  • Manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects from proposal through execution and close-out.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate engineers, designers, and project team members across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Track project performance and proactively manage scope, schedule, cost, safety performance, and risk mitigation. Allnorth works with the BST software package for tracking project costs and performance.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Support proposal development, fee estimates, and project resourcing.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities early and communicate clearly to stakeholders.
  • Support and mentor new Project Managers and Project Coordinators to help them develop their skills.
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering, construction, or technical services.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in an engineering, technical services, or consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, and cost tracking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organized, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or comparable formal project management training is considered an asset.
  • Must be based in, or willing to work from, the Calgary or Edmonton area and be available to travel to client offices as required.
  • A proven self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude who is motivated by solving complex challenges.
  • A strong client-focused approach, dedicated to providing exceptional client experiences to our internal and external customers.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration is considered an asset.
  • Class 5 driver's license.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

What's in it for you?

We believe that a happy and fulfilled team leads to exceptional results, which is why we offer a range of perks designed to support your well-being, career growth and community engagement.

  • Comprehensive benefits package includes extended health and dental coverage, and RRSP matching
  • Employee Assistance Program for team members and their families
  • A culture of respect and inclusivity fosters long-term relationships and a team atmosphere
  • Professional development and growth opportunities (e.g. New and Young Worker Mentorship program)
  • Team Member Referral Program
  • A paid “Volunteer Day” away from work to support the community
  • Opportunities to bond with other team members, have fun and make a difference through involvement in social and safety committees, as well as fundraising and community support initiatives (e.g. Movember, Pi Day, Food Banks, Women's Shelters, Ronald McDonald House, Earth Day clean ups, etc.).

WE TAKE CARE OF YOU SO YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF OUR CLIENTS

In joining us, you'll face rewarding, career-developing challenges that enable you to contribute to our clients' successes, and despite how much we grow, you'll never be just a number, but rather a vital member of the Allnorth Team.

Engage with us at Allnorth and be empowered to enrich people's lives, including your own.
