Industrial Electrician (442A)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial Electrician (442A) to join a well-established manufacturing operation in the Hamilton area.

The Role

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for supporting the electrical maintenance and reliability of a busy manufacturing facility.

Location: Hannon / Hamilton, ON
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: Continental / Rotating
Compensation: $45.50/hour + shift premiums

Your responsibilities may include:

• Performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment and production systems
• Diagnosing electrical issues and identifying the root cause of equipment failures
• Supporting preventative and corrective maintenance activities
• Working with industrial electrical systems, controls, motors and related equipment
• Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing production downtime
• Performing electrical installations, modifications and repairs as required
• Following established maintenance procedures and safety standards
• Working collaboratively with maintenance, production and other skilled trades teams
• Using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document maintenance activities, where applicable
• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Following all applicable Health & Safety legislation, company safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Requirements

Mandatory:

• Valid 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification
• Approximately 5–7 years of relevant industrial electrical experience
• Hands-on experience working as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work a continental / rotating shift schedule
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

Assets:

• Experience within a food manufacturing or production environment
• Experience with CMMS systems
• Experience with industrial controls, motors and production equipment
• Dual-ticket certification

Important Licensing Requirement

A valid 442A Industrial Electrician license is mandatory for this position.

Candidates who hold only a 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician license will not be considered, regardless of their level of industrial experience.
