Intermediate Trainer
Contract: October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027
Location: Edmonton
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM
Wage: $50-$60/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Trainer to support a Procurement System Modernization project. The successful candidate will develop and deliver training to help employees successfully adopt new systems, processes, and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess training needs and develop role-based training strategies.
- Design and deliver in-person, virtual, blended, and self-paced training.
- Create training materials including e-learning, videos, job aids, quick reference guides, and digital support resources.
- Facilitate training for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Translate complex systems and processes into clear, easy-to-understand training.
- Collaborate with business teams, technical teams, subject matter experts, and vendors.
- Manage multiple training projects, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate, accessible, and up-to-date training materials.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback and results.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior trainers.
Qualifications
- Experience developing and delivering training in a corporate, government, or enterprise environment.
- Strong instructional design and adult learning knowledge.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience creating a variety of learning materials and resources.
- Ability to explain complex technical or business concepts in simple terms.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Comfortable using digital learning, multimedia, collaboration, and AI-enabled tools.
