Prosperity Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Sonographer on behalf of our client, a growing physician-led diagnostic imaging provider in Edmonton, Alberta.

Our client is committed to providing high-quality, timely, and compassionate diagnostic imaging while creating an exceptional experience for patients and referring physicians. The clinic is experiencing continued growth, with four fully booked ultrasound rooms and a fifth room recently opening.

About the Clinic

The clinic provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services, including:

  • Ultrasound
  • X-ray
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Bone Mineral Density (BMD)
  • Pain Management
  • Breast Imaging
The Opportunity

The Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations while delivering safe, accurate, and patient-focused care in a collaborative clinical environment.

The clinic is specifically looking for a Sonographer who can commit to the following Saturday shift:

  • Saturday: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
  • Candidates who can work Saturdays only are welcome to apply, including those looking to start on a part-time basis.

There is also an opportunity for additional weekday hours:

  • Minimum 4 hours per day
  • Ideally 2+ weekdays per week
  • Flexible scheduling based on availability
  • Clinic hours, Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic medical ultrasound examinations
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols
  • Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures clearly and compassionately
  • Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout the examination
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment appropriately
  • Follow established clinical, safety, and quality standards
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Registered with Sonography Canada — required
  • Registered with ACMDTT — required
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience - a strong asset
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound procedures
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and imaging systems
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
Assets
  • MSK ultrasound experience
  • Vascular credentialing/experience, including arterial and upper-extremity studies
  • Experience working in a busy outpatient diagnostic imaging environment
