We are currently looking for a new team member to fill the position of:
Registered Veterinary Technician
Role:
Responsible for processing, dispensing, and record keeping of orders containing Medically Important Antimicrobial (MIA), Biologics, and other prescription drug products that are being shipped directly to a remote dispensing location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act under delegation and supervision of a prescribing veterinarian at all times while dispensing.
- Review documentation, including, scripts and orders, that request prescription drug and biologic products to be shipped to a remote dispensing location.
- Verify completeness of documentation and compliance with the CVO regulations.
- Produce prescription labels for orders.
- Process remote dispensing orders.
- Maintain and complete medical and dispensing records.
- Interact with practices on a regular basis regarding items, records, scripts and orders.
- Assist with documentation and investigation of deviations or complaints related to processing orders and dispensing of prescription drug products to remote dispensing locations.
- Assist with the evaluation and maintenance of Item, Practice and Veterinarian records.
- Assist with Regulatory Compliance and/or Warehouse Worker duties, as required.
- Assist with processing-controlled substances and precursor orders under the supervision of the QPIC/AQPIC and RPIC/ARPIC, respectively.
- Maintain current RVT status.
Health & Safety:
- Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and follows VP's policies and procedures
- Conducts self with regard for the safety of all employees
- Participates in health and safety training, meetings, and drills as required; is aware of safety and evacuation procedures
- Reports any health & safety violations or hazards to appropriate contacts (JHSC Representatives, Supervisors, Managers)
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP):
- Follows and understands all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with respect to Good Manufacturing Practices

Skills and Knowledge Required
- Qualified Registered Veterinary Technician.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organization and time management skills.
Schedule and Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Compensation
Annual Salary: $54,688.00 – $78,125.00
NOTE: Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
