Job Details:
- Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Provide input on constructability, scheduling, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify and resolve potential construction issues during the planning and execution phases.
- Coordinate the procurement of labour, materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor expenditures and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules.
- Monitor project milestones, timelines, resource allocation, and overall project performance.
- Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project objectives.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure all required project documentation is completed and maintained.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of as-built drawings and closeout documentation.
- Ensure quality control standards are consistently met throughout all phases of construction.
- Maintain regular communication with architects, engineers, consultants, clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Prepare project status reports and maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and progress.
- Facilitate meetings and coordinate project activities to ensure effective collaboration among all parties.
- Prepare, monitor, and expedite project deficiency lists.
- Coordinate corrective actions and ensure deficiencies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Support project commissioning and successful project closeout activities.
- Lead, mentor, and support project team members.
- Foster a collaborative, safety-focused, and high-performance work environment.
- Promote continuous improvement and best practices across project teams.
- Postsecondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant construction experience will be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of construction project management experience.
- Experience managing residential, commercial, mixed-use, renovation, or new construction projects.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple stakeholders, budgets, schedules, and project teams.
- Strong understanding of Canadian construction practices, project planning, scheduling, quality control, and construction methodologies.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Trade certification (such as Carpentry or another construction-related trade) is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with construction management, scheduling, and project management software is an asset.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams and build positive working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
