Rate: $28-30/hr.

Our client, an education-focused crafts company, is seeking a Photography & Digital Asset Coordinator to support their creative team on a freelance basis. Working onsite 3 days per week, this role is responsible for coordinating photoshoot logistics, managing photography assets, and maintaining digital asset organization to ensure seamless content production and accessibility.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all photography pre-production activities, including booking locations and talent, creating shot lists, sourcing props, and ordering products.
  • Ensure photo shoots run smoothly by preparing materials, managing schedules, and maintaining organized workspaces.
  • Communicate photography schedules, updates, and changes with internal teams and external contractors.
  • Manage inventory and organization of props, equipment, and photography supplies, ensuring accurate warehouse catalog records.
  • Coordinate product photography requests, oversee asset delivery timelines, and maintain asset archives.
  • Track digital assets through all stages of production and delivery, following up with stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain file naming conventions, folder structures, and asset archiving standards.
  • Upload, organize, tag, and manage assets within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Collect and maintain metadata to improve asset searchability and accessibility.
  • Train users on DAM processes, best practices, and new platform features.
  • Support retailers and clients by converting digital assets into required formats and specifications.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating photography shoots, creative productions, or digital asset management.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and metadata best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience maintaining inventory, props, equipment, and production schedules.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with file management, digital archiving, and image formatting/conversion.
  • Familiarity with photography workflows and asset production processes.
  • Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
