The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Podcast Host & Monetization Director to operate and grow an Acumen Agency podcast.

You will serve as the host and public-facing representative of the podcast, developing episodes, interviewing compelling guests, building an audience, and helping turn the show into a commercially successful media property.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build a significant podcast portfolio while building a real business around the audience and content.

Responsibilities

Host and operate an Acumen Agency podcast.
Develop compelling episode concepts, topics, and interview formats.
Research and interview business leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, government representatives, nonprofit leaders, experts, and other notable guests.
Identify and recruit high-quality guests.
Conduct professional, engaging, and informative interviews.
Develop relationships with guests, organizations, companies, and other potential partners.
Work with producers, videographers, editors, designers, and other members of the Acumen media team.
Develop the podcast's brand, audience, programming, and distribution strategy.
Publish podcast content across YouTube, podcast platforms, social media, and other digital channels.
Develop clips, Shorts, interviews, highlights, and other content from each episode.
Grow subscribers, listeners, viewers, engagement, and overall audience reach.
Develop and implement strategies to monetize the podcast and its audience.
Identify advertising, sponsorship, branded-content, partnership, referral, affiliate, event, and other revenue opportunities.
Develop relationships with potential sponsors and commercial partners.
Identify opportunities to generate business leads and clients through the podcast.
Track audience growth, engagement, sponsorships, partnerships, leads, sales, and revenue.
Continuously improve the podcast based on audience and commercial performance.

Qualifications

Experience hosting, producing, or operating a podcast is strongly preferred.
Strong interviewing and on-camera or on-microphone presence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to research topics and conduct engaging conversations.
Understanding of podcast production and digital distribution.
Experience with YouTube and podcast monetization is highly valuable.
Strong business-development and networking abilities.
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership of the show's growth.
Proven experience monetizing a podcast, YouTube channel, media platform, audience, or similar digital property is strongly preferred.
A podcast, YouTube channel, interview portfolio, demo reel, or examples of previous work should be provided where available.

Compensation & Career Opportunity

This is a performance-based opportunity. The successful candidate will be expected to help build the podcast, grow its audience, develop commercial opportunities, and monetize the show.

Compensation may be tied to measurable results including audience growth, sponsorships, partnerships, qualified leads, business opportunities, and revenue generated.

Successful candidates may transition into a full-time salaried position and potentially take on expanded leadership responsibilities within Acumen's media division.

This is also an opportunity to build a substantial professional portfolio as the host of an Acumen-branded business podcast featuring real executives, entrepreneurs, organizations, experts, and leaders.
