The Precision Agriculture Specialist is responsible for executing precision ag strategies at the field level, driving technology adoption, supporting data services, and training store teams. This role promotes the latest solutions to improve customer operations and ensure optimal equipment performance.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Lead sales of precision agriculture hardware and services at assigned location(s) to drive adoption and revenue growth.
  • Promote machine connectivity and how the data can provide an operational efficiency insight to customers.
  • Sell value-added data services (e.g., profit mapping, crop intelligence) to help customers improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Communicate regularly with the Precision Ag Lead to align on sales goals, monitor performance, and execute local strategies.
  • Advise customers on data being extracted, educating them of management decisions that can be made from the analysis of the data.
  • Perform startup and machine optimization workflows with Account Managers to ensure accurate setup and data functionality upon equipment delivery.
  • Train service and sales teams on machine optimization processes to improve technical support capabilities.
  • Educate parts and sales staff on new technology items sold in the Precision Ag Parts warehouse to enhance product knowledge and customer engagement.
What We Look For
  • Customer solutions focused, with demonstrated previous experience delivering customer solutions.
  • Proven experience building tong term relationships with customers.
  • Affinity for technology-related solutions and ability adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of John Deere Operation center and John Deere precision ag products.
  • Ability to use computer technology as required to comply with process and reporting needs.
  • Ability to help deliver a satisfactory customer experience and collaborate with co-workers across departments.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate peak seasons; including working shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites on a regular basis.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Previous sales experience with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets considered an asset.
  • Technology/Agronomy/Precision Agriculture background considered an asset.
