Strickland's is a family-owned and operated business serving Ontario since 1974. We began modestly and have grown into a multidimensional company offering both new and used vehicles. We now have five dealership locations, all centrally located in Ontario, catering to every area of today's market.

As an instrumental part of both the sales and service teams, the Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing new and pre-owned vehicles. This role plays an integral part in ensuring the successful delivery of vehicles to customers, as well as maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of vehicles in our showroom and retail displays.

We're excited to announce this opportunity due to a new and existing vacancy! We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with previous work experience who is ready to join our team and grow with us.

Job Duties:

• Clean, protect, and preserve vehicle interiors (e.g., carpets and upholstery, dashboards and consoles, door panels, mirrors, and glove compartments) and exteriors (e.g., wheels, tires, wheel wells, lower body panels, and front grilles and bumpers).
• Polish and wax vehicle paint and finishes, protecting them from environmental damage.
• Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects and ensure they are free from dirt, dust, and blemishes.
• Perform thorough inspections to ensure all cleaning and detailing work meets company standards.
• Greet customers, discuss their detailing needs, and provide information about the services offered.
• Follow all safety protocols.
• Clean and maintain detailing equipment and ensure a tidy workspace.
• Prepare vehicles for customer delivery, ensuring they meet our presentation standards.

Successful Candidates Possess:

• Previous work experience is required, with preference given to candidates with automotive detailing experience or experience in a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper use of automotive cleaning equipment, and detailing techniques.
• Valid Class G driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong commitment to providing excellent service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
