Job Position: Part-Time Accountant (CPA)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CPA Accountant to join our growing manufacturing company on a part-time basis.

The Successful CPA Accountant will be responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of assigned financial information and reports. The position is expected to identify financial risks, discrepancies, control weaknesses, and cost-management opportunities and escalate significant issues to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Manage general ledger, accounts payable and receivable.
  • Monitor inventory and manufacturing costs.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
  • Assist with GST/HST, year-end, audit, and tax requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Prepare relevant monthly accounting reports of all the subdivisions.
  • Conduct monthly accounting review for all Subdivisions.
  • Strengthen accounting processes and internal financial controls.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation is required.
  • Degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Manufacturing or cost-accounting experience is an asset.
  • Strong Excel and accounting/ERP system skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to interpret financial information and communicate it to non-financial managers
  • Strong business judgment
