Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical failures, faulty parts and equipment malfunctions (including hydraulic, pneumatic and gear systems).

Precision Machining: Set up and operate conventional lathes, milling machines, drill presses and grinders to manufacture or modify replacement parts to precise tolerances.

Preventative Maintenance: Perform rountine lubrication, inspection and preventative maintance tasks to minimize production downtime.

Welding & fabrication: Carry out basic welding and structural fabrication required for machine repairs or modicications.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper PPE usage.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience working as an industrial millwright and manual machinist.
  • Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) and/or Machinist certification is hightly preferred.
  • Proven ability to calculate spindle speeds. feed rates and depth of cuts for optimal chip load across various metals, plastics and alloys.
  • Mastery of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to interpret tight tolerances down to 0.001" using micrometers, calipers and dial indicators.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematic diagrams and using precision measuring tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces or at heights in a heavy industrial setting.
