Clamp/ Reach Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Clamp / Reach Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating clamp and reach forklifts to move, load, unload, stack, and organize materials while following all workplace safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Clamp and Reach forklifts in a warehouse environment.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
• Move, stack, and organize pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
• Handle products using the appropriate clamp attachments.
• Operate reach equipment to place and retrieve products from storage racks.
• Safely maneuver forklifts in tight warehouse spaces.
• Inspect equipment before each shift and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Follow proper load-handling and weight-limit procedures.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, picking, and staging activities.
• Maintain accurate product placement and inventory organization.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow company policies, safety regulations, and supervisor instructions.
• Perform general warehouse duties when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Clamp and/or Reach forklift experience preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Valid forklift certification is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of forklift safety and warehouse procedures.
• Ability to safely handle and transport various types of loads.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Safety shoes are mandatory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required.
• Ability to operate a forklift for extended periods.
• Comfortable working around warehouse equipment and moving materials.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience handling paper rolls, lumber, pallets, or other clamp-handled products is an asset.
• Experience working in high-volume warehouse or distribution environments.
• Strong understanding of safe forklift operation and load stability.
