Retail Security Guards - Weekend Day Shift

As Canada's leading provider of corporate security services, we focus on customer service, creating value for clients, and caring for our people, our community, and the environment.Part Time Security Guards RequiredSchedule & Timings: Sat 8:30 am to 8:30 pm Sun 7:30 am to 5:30 pmTotal hours : 22Wage rate: $20.81/hrDuties: Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the store and parking lot.Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, with particular focus on the Hardware Tool Corral and Assisted Checkout (ACO) areas.Observe and report all safety concerns, criminal activity, suspicious behaviour, theft, fraud, emergencies, and other undesirable incidents to Store Management or Asset Protection.Adhere to Home Depot's hands-off policy at all times. Guards must not confront, detain, question, search, or physically engage with customers suspected of theft or fraud, nor inspect bags, parcels, or receipts.Monitor visitors, staff, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles within assigned patrol areas.Provide the Manager on Duty (MOD) with a contact number upon arrival and maintain effective communication throughout the shift.Ensure the shared security phone is securely stored in the vault when not in use and remains charged for operational needs.Monitor the store perimeter and parking lot for signs of fire, emergencies, safety hazards, or malicious activity.Maintain an alert, attentive, and courteous demeanor while providing a visible deterrent against theft and disorderly conduct.We offer:Paid TrainingExtended Health Benefits for (subject to benefit waiting periods)Recognition Programs & EventsWe are committed to building an environment of respect and personal growth for all our staff.
