About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Designer / Architectural Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of architectural experience, with an emphasis on residential developments ranging from single-family low-rise to multifamily high-rise projects.

You will be capable of working independently across all phases of a project, from conceptual design through construction, while contributing to a robust and busy in-house design team.

Strong Revit expertise, excellent written communication skills, and very good organizational skills are essential for this role.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare rezoning, site plan, and permit-level packages for low- and mid-rise, medium-density, three- to four-storey townhouse projects.
• Collaborate with the Architectural Manager and team members on architectural design, detailing, and documentation.
• Coordinate closely with in-house planning, marketing, and construction teams.
• Use Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Photoshop to create conceptual site plans.
• Support the in-house Senior Architect with high-rise and mid-rise packages.
• Coordinate with outside architects during site plan, tender, and permit administration phases.
• Work across project phases from conceptual design through construction.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture from an accredited university or an Architectural Technologist diploma from an accredited college.
• Minimum 3+ years of related experience in a development and/or construction environment with a home builder or architectural consultant.
• Experience with consultant coordination.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Extensive proficiency in producing and reviewing working drawings using Revit.
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
• Knowledge of City By-Laws and coordination of submissions to authorities.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented and detail-oriented mindset.
