Mechanic (310T or 421A)

We're hiring a Journeyperson Mechanic in Windsor!

• Full-time position
• Availability for all 3 shifts (days, afternoons and midnights) required
• $49.26/hr starting wage

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair stationary and mobile industrial equipment
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and low-voltage electrical systems
• Complete installations, adjustments, disassembly, repairs, and reassembly of mechanical components
• Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical schematics, fabrication drawings, and technical prints
• Troubleshoot and repair crushers, screeners, conveyors, and other mining equipment
• Perform power transmission and equipment alignment procedures
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication tasks
• Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and maintain a safe, hazard-free workplace

Requirements:

• Valid 421A – Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or 310T – Truck and Coach Technician certification required
• Minimum 3 years of mechanic experience preferred
• Completion of an accredited Skilled Trades Ontario program required
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines
• Proficiency with low-voltage electrical systems
• Knowledge of crushers, screeners, conveyors, and industrial mining equipment
• Knowledge of power transmission and alignment procedures
