Transportation Planner

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and organized Transportation Planner to join our team in Delta, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation schedules, planning daily routes, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring transportation operations run efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transportation schedules and routes.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding deliveries and schedules.
• Monitor transportation activities and address scheduling or routing issues.
• Maintain accurate transportation records and documentation.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and other administrative documents.
• Use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for daily planning, reporting, and documentation.
• Assist with general transportation and administrative duties as required.
• Ensure schedules and transportation plans are followed efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transportation planning, logistics, dispatch, or a related field.
• Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
