Job Description:

Are you passionate about dance and dedicated to sharing your love for the art form with others? If so, we're looking for a dynamic and experienced K Pop dance teacher to join our team. As a Dance Teacher at Peach Plum Art Academy Ltd., you will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture the talents of our students, helping them develop their dance skills and passion.

Dance Instructor

Duties:

- Teach K-Pop to children and teenagers. Experience in other styles considered an asset, but not mandatory - including but not limited to contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop to students of all ages and skill levels.
- Plan and conduct dance classes for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach proper dance techniques and choreography
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for students
- Develop lesson plans and curriculum to meet the needs of the students
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills
- Organize and coordinate dance performances and recitals
- Prepare students for performances, competitions, and examinations as necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Stay current with dance trends and pedagogy to continuously improve teaching methods.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a seamless learning experience.

Skills:
- Classroom management: Ability to effectively manage a classroom setting and maintain discipline while creating a positive learning environment
- Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey instructions, feedback, and information to students, parents, and staff
- Creativity: Ability to create engaging and innovative dance routines and choreography
- Patience: Willingness to work with students of varying abilities and learning styles, providing individual attention as needed to help students achieve their dance goals.
- Tutoring: Experience in providing one-on-one instruction or tutoring sessions to help students improve their dance skills
- Experience with children: Previous experience working with children in a teaching or mentoring capacity
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward dance education.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a dance teacher, instructor, or choreographer.
• Proficiency in multiple dance styles with a strong foundation in one or more.
• Teaching certifications and/or a degree in dance or related field is a plus.
