WHAT YOU'LL DOLead People
  • Lead, coach, and develop employees to build a high-performing and accountable team.
  • Set clear expectations around Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Performance.
  • Assign work, delegate manpower, and adjust staffing to meet production requirements.
  • Conduct shift meetings to communicate priorities, changes, expectations, and results.
  • Support employee training, performance reviews, attendance management, and corrective action in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Recognize opportunities to develop employees and build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Lead by example by creating a culture built on respect, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Drive Production & Performance
  • Oversee daily production activities across blown film and cast extrusion lines.
  • Monitor shift performance and communicate results through the Daily Operating Report.
  • Review machine performance and identify barriers preventing equipment from achieving expected standards.
  • Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor workflow and make real-time decisions to keep production moving.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and other departments to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.
Champion Safety & Quality
  • Make employee safety the top priority on every shift.
  • Ensure employees understand and follow established procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
  • Complete accident/incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Conduct required quality, safety, and housekeeping audits.
  • Reinforce quality standards and ensure products consistently meet customer and company expectations.
Improve How We Work
  • Identify opportunities to improve People, Products, Processes, Procedures, Safety, and Productivity.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment utilization, and processes.
  • Challenge the status quo and encourage your team to bring forward ideas and solutions.
  • Turn problems into opportunities to improve performance.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Ability and willingness to work rotating continental shifts.
  • Knowledge of blown film or cast film extrusion is a strong asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, health & safety, and quality systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify root causes, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to hold people accountable while building strong working relationships.
  • A genuine continuous improvement mindset and the drive to make things better.
