HVAC Technician

Position: HVAC Technician
Location: Burlington Region (Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville portfolio)
Type: Existing vacancy
Hours: 40 hours per week, plus on-call
Compensation Range: $70,000 - $ 85,000

Responsibilities:

- Maintain focus on tenant satisfaction and energy conservation

- Troubleshoot and service all aspects of HVAC in high-rise apartment buildings including boilers (HTG/DHW), chillers, heat pumps, MUA, RTU and HRV/ERV systems

- Perform regular preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment

- Provide consistent monitoring of automation systems

- Willingness and ability to learn how to monitor and fine-tune buildings through our automation

systems

- Oversee HVAC-related mechanical projects

- Maintain HVAC logs as required

- Regularly update knowledge and skills through employer-sponsored educational programs

- Comply with all safety code requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

- Gas Fitter License (G1) preferred; however, candidates with a G2 license will be considered based on relevant experience and qualifications.

- Excellent HVAC troubleshooting skills

- Effective knowledge in HVAC automation systems is an asset

- Refrigeration license (313D or 313A) is an asset.

- Efficient time manager with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines

- Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in-person, over the phone and via e-mail.
