Micro Service Inc. is looking for a motivated and hardworking Telecommunications Tower Rigger to join our team.
This is a hands-on position working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions. The successful candidate must be comfortable working at heights, performing physically demanding work, and travelling throughout Northern Ontario for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Climb and work on telecommunications towers and structures.
- Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade telecommunications equipment and systems.
- Perform rigging, lifting, and installation of antennas, cables, mounts, and related equipment.
- Complete physical labour and general construction duties as required.
- Work safely at heights and follow all company and site-specific safety procedures.
- Travel to remote job sites throughout Northern Ontario.
- Work effectively as part of a crew while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment required for the job.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in physical labour, construction, rigging, or telecommunications is preferred.
- Experience working at heights is an asset.
- Must be comfortable climbing towers and working at significant heights.
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, and handling equipment.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions.
- Must be willing and able to travel and work on the road in Northern Ontario, sometimes for several weeks at a time.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record are an asset.
- Previous telecommunications tower or rigger experience is an asset, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
