Warehouse Lead – Afternoon/Evening Shift
Location: Brampton, ON
Job Type: Temporary, with potential for permanent opportunity
Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, with flexibility to stay beyond midnight as required
Pay: Approximately $30/hour, base on Experience
About the Opportunity Fuze HR Solutions is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Lead to join a well-established food manufacturing and distribution organization in Brampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys a hands-on leadership role, is comfortable working both in the office and on the warehouse floor, and can step in and support a small team with minimal supervision.
The organization is committed to quality, food safety, workplace safety and operational excellence, supplying food products through a well-established distribution operation. The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping afternoon/evening warehouse operations running efficiently.
While this position is initially temporary, there is potential for the right candidate to transition into a permanent opportunity based on performance, reliability and overall fit with the team.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Warehouse Lead, you will support the day-to-day operation of the afternoon/evening warehouse team and assist wherever needed.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the daily division and assignment of warehouse tasks.
• Working closely with a small warehouse team to ensure daily operations run efficiently.
• Providing hands-on support with loading and unloading, with a strong focus on loading activities.
• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Assisting with picking and other warehouse duties during particularly busy periods or when additional support is required.
• Supporting shipping and receiving activities.
• Entering and updating information in SAP and other warehouse systems.
• Assisting with general administrative and computer-related warehouse tasks.
• Supporting the team with day-to-day operational issues and helping prioritize time-sensitive work.
• Communicating effectively with team members and other departments.
• Supporting employee training where required.
• Promoting safe work practices and following all workplace and food-safety procedures.
• Helping maintain an organized, efficient and safe warehouse environment.
• Assisting with quality and product-safety matters when required.
• Taking initiative and stepping in wherever support is needed.
• Performing other warehouse and operational duties as assigned.

A Hands-On Role
This is not an office-only Lead position.
The successful candidate should expect a mix of office/computer work and hands-on warehouse responsibilities. Depending on the workload, you may spend approximately half of your shift handling administrative/computer-related responsibilities and the other half on the warehouse floor.
During particularly busy periods, you may be required to assist with picking, loading, unloading and other warehouse activities.
We are looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and help the team, rather than someone who wants to remain primarily at a desk.
What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Previous Warehouse Lead, Team Lead, Senior Warehouse Associate or similar experience is an asset.
• Strong hands-on warehouse experience.
• Recent forklift operating experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with loading, unloading and material handling.
• Comfortable assisting with picking when required.
• Basic to strong computer skills.
• Experience with SAP and/or WMS systems is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous food industry experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
• Must be comfortable working in a food distribution environment and following food-safety requirements.

Important Schedule Requirement
The scheduled shift is Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
However, the successful candidate must be flexible to stay beyond midnight when required until the work is completed.
Depending on workload, extended hours may occur approximately 1–2 times per week, and the shift may occasionally extend to approximately 2:00–3:00 AM. There is no regular weekend schedule, although occasional statutory-holiday work may be required.
Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from the Brampton location, particularly because the shift may finish after public transportation options are limited.
Physical Requirements
This is an active warehouse position. The successful candidate must be comfortable with:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Bending, stooping, kneeling and reaching.
• Working on the warehouse floor.
• Loading and unloading materials.
• Operating warehouse equipment and forklifts.
• Lifting and moving products, including items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
• Working in a variable warehouse environment that may be warm, cold, dusty or dirty.
• Potential exposure to food allergens including peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten/wheat and soy.
