Job Details:
Production Coordination:
- Forecast, Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate daily production schedules and communicate with cross-functional teams (purchasing, logistics, quality control, etc.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate delays or changes in priorities.
- Collaborate with supervisors, team leaders, and engineers to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Maintain and update production records, job orders, and work instructions.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team to reorder materials based on production needs and inventory thresholds.
- Create rolling forecasts for short, medium, and long-term production planning.
- Adjust production schedules proactively based on forecast updates, inventory levels, and lead times.
- Support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) by ensuring raw materials are available in accordance with production forecasts.
- Prepare and present daily/weekly production reports.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including quality assurance, procurement, logistics, and maintenance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production efficiency.
- Ensure all production activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Identify and escalate any production or inventory-related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production coordination role.
- Strong understanding of production workflows and inventory management systems (e.g., ERP/MRP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP software preferred, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience considered a strong asset.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
