General Labourers will play a crucial role in supporting warehouse operations by managing inventory, handling orders, and ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes. Working within a small team in a general merchandise warehouse environment, the ideal candidate will utilize warehouse management systems and inventory tracking software to maintain accuracy and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trailers using forklifts safely and efficiently
- Feed production lines and manage product flow
- Prepare and push skids with forklifts; double stack finished products
- Handle packaging and parcels carefully according to destination labels
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on forklifts
- Manage shipping and receiving operations within the warehouse
- Maintain accurate invoices and receipts
- Conduct manual order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operation experience, including Reach Trucks
- Proficient with RF scanner use and inventory management software
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a small team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures
